Here I am sharing my experience of PSI interview.

·         The Concept of interview:

An interview is simply a method to judge any person. It is a method to justify any candidate for the same post. First of all, we have to keep some important points in mind to get success in this kind of oral exam.

·         Preparation:

We need to make some physical and mental preparations before facing any interview which also helps us for PSI interview as well which is as under:

1.     Well cut hair and shaving

2.    Wear neat and pressed clothes

3.    Wear tie if you feel comfort

4.    Wear well polished shoes

5.    Keep your certificate file update

6.    Be mentally strong

7.    Be positive and confident

8.    Get information about police department

9.    Listen questions carefully

10.   Don’t argue unnecessarily

11.  Keep eye contact with penal members

12.  Before entering the room asks for permit ion.

             For example; May I come in sir?

13.  Salutation

For example- Good morning, good afternoon, jay hind

14.  Seat on chair after panel say you to seat and say thank you

·         Now we focus on points  those you need to prepare:

1.     Your Self: introduction- your full name, native place, educational detail and recent job or study

2.    About your district

3.    About your education; every degree

4.    About your strength

5.    ABOUT POLICE DEPARTMENT- POSTS, DUTY

6.    About recent incidents

·         Questions which are generally asked–

1.     Say something about yourself?

2.    Which are your positive and negative points?

3.    Which are your interested areas?

4.    What have you studied /done in your graduation or in master degree?

5.     What is your hobby?

6.    What do you do in free time?

7.    Which are your best and worst moment your life?

8.    Why do we select you for this post?

9.    Who is your icon?

10.  What are the good qualities of a good police officer?

11.  Why are you joining police department?

12.  Who is recent S.P in your district?

13.  Who is recent DGP of Gujarat?

14.  What is the difference between IPC and CRPC?

15.  What is the difference between Major and Minor Acts?

16.  Who is your favorite sport person, author?

17.  How will you use your education in this post?

18.  How will you manage your job and family in critical situation?

19.  How will you handle pressure?

20. How will you handle your below staff?

21.   What are your views on encounter?

22. How will you maintain police-public relation?

23. What will you do to win public heart?

24. What will you do to improve police impression?

25. Say about your-  any bad or good experience with police
